Mission

Wireless Strategies, Inc. (WSI) was formed in 2006 with the mission of turning problems into opportunities.

The problems WSI foresaw were the high cost of backhaul and broadband access due to a dramatic increase in data traffic, and a spectrum crunch due to the much higher cell site density, i.e. :

  • T1 carrier, a 1960’s technology, is too slow and too expensive.
  • Fiber installation and right-of-way costs make fiber cost prohibitive for most applications more than 2000 feet off-net.
  • Although in most instances legacy microwave networks are a better alternative to terrestrial networks, FDD PTP microwave is misapplied, spectrum-wasteful and expensive for high density (4G, enterprise and subscriber) Ethernet applications.

WSI's solution is Concurrently Coordinated licensed microwave networks, as they can :

  • Lower the cost of backhaul and access by up to 90%
  • Increase the effective use of spectrum by a factor of 10 or more
  • Provide a defensible market advantage
  • Simplify operational logistics
  • Lower service delivery times
  • Make it possible to gain market share
  • Increase profits
  • Increase shareholder value
  • Increase the value of stock options
